X-ray Absorption Spectroscopic and Electrochemical Studies of Tris(catecholato(2-))chromate(V/IV/III) Complexes (Financial support of this work was provided by an Australian Research Council (ARC) grant (to P.A.L.) and an ARC grant for the fluorescence detector at ANBF. This work was supported by the Access to Major Facilities Program funded by the Department of Industry, Science and Resources and managed by the Australian Nuclear Science and Technology Organisation. X-ray absorption spectroscopy was performed partially at the ANBF, with support from the Australian Synchrotron Research Program, which is funded by the Commonwealth of Australia under the Major National Research Facilities program, and partially at the Stanford Synchrotron Radiation Laboratory, a national user facility operated by Stanford University on behalf of the US, Department of Energy, Office of Basic Energy Sciences. The SSRL Structural Molecular Biology Program is supported by the National Institutes of Health, National Centre for Research Resources, Biomedical Technology Program, and by the Department of Energy, Office of Biological and Environmental Research. We thank Dr. Peter Barnard and Mr Jack Zylmans (University of Sydney) for contributions to the design and construction of the electrochemical XAS cell, and Ms Jade Aitken (University of Sydney) and Dr. Britt Hedman, Dr. Matthew Latimer, and Dr. Alison Soo Hoo (SSRL) for their help in XAS data collection)
