Abstract

Couples becoming parents must deal with many changes including those associated with their relationship. This article presents teaching of the concepts related to a couples' intimacy during the transition to parenthood. The theoretical background is first featured and is followed by the teaching strategies. Bringing a couples approach to perinatal education is relevant to holistic childbirth education.
