Authors

Talley, Lynette

Abstract

Pregnancy for a majority of women lends itself to excitement and anticipation; it may likewise bring on stress, anxiety, depression, and feelings of ambiguity. Managing stress appropriately in pregnancy through relaxation therapy, music therapy, or methods for attaining adequate sleep contributes to a healthier and more comfortable pregnancy for the mother and enhances fetal growth and development. The purpose of this paper is to focus on stress management interventions in pregnancy, which ultimately leads to a healthier pregnancy for the mother and the unborn baby.
