Title: Research on Components of Product from Oleanolic Acid Oxidation.

Abstract: Oleanolic acid was oxidized by potassium permanganate, hydrogen peroxide and selenium dioxide. Three compounds were isolated from the reaction mixtures in yield of 4.5%, 6.4% and 2%, and were structurally established as 3, 11-dioxo-12, 17-dien-28-nor-oleanane (1), 3β-hydroxy olean-11-en-13, 28-olide (2) and 3α, 12β, 13α-trihydroxy-olean-28-oic acid (3) respectively by means of ¹H NMR, 13C NMR, 2D NMR and ESI-MS analysis. Compounds 1 and 3 are new compounds.
