Abstract

The effects of a novel collagen peptide and a novel oligopeptide from Cyanea nozakii on the anti-fatigue activities of mice were investigated in this paper. Collagen peptide solution and oligopeptide solution were administered orally to the mice for 30 days with the dosage of 25,50,and 100 mg/kg. The loading forced swimming time, serum urea nitrogen, glycogen content in liver, and blood lactic value were tested. The results showed that all of the dosage levels of each test group could prolong the swimming time of mice (P < 0.05 or P < 0.01); Each dosage could reduce the quantity of blood urea nitrogen and decrease the content of the lactic acid in blood of mice evidently (P < 0.01); And each dosage levels of the two tests could higher increase the glycogen content in liver inequality compared with the control group. It is suggested that the novel collagen peptide and oligopeptide from Cyanea nozakii possessed the activity of promoting the anti-fatigue activity of mice.
