Abstract

In order to find out a new resource of active compounds, the psoralen and isopsoralen in the leaves of Psoralea corylifolia were studied. The leaves of Psoralea corflifolia were treated with four different extraction methods, and then analyzed by HPLC respectively. The results showed that the leaves of Psoralea corylifolia contain psoralen and isopsoralen, and there were obvious chemical changes in the leaves by comparing with the chromatograms. The contents of psoralen, isopsoralen and the other two chemical components in the fresh leaves were obviously higher than that in the oven dried leaves, air dried leaves and grinded leaves. The four components in the samples were reduced notably during the dry course.
