Determination of Major Isoflavones in Trifolium pratense Grown in Different Places of China.

Abstract

The contents of seven isoflavone compounds in Trifolium pratense collected from eleven provinces of China were determined by HPLC for the first time. The results showed that the total amount of seven isoflavones in T. pratense ranged from 0.105% to 1.725%. The contents of irilone, pratensein, calycosin, formononetin, daidzein, genistein and biochanin A in T. pratense from different places of China were successively in a range of 0 to 0.189%, 0 to 0.066%, 0.020% to 0.076%, 0.004% to 0.948%, 0 to 0.089%, 0.020% to 0.073%, 0 to 0.424%.
