Abstract

Six steroids were isolated from the 75% EtOH of the whole plant of Piper pedicellatum for the first time. On the basis of the spectral data, they were identified as 5α,8α-epidioxy-(22E,24R)-ergosta-6,22 -diene-3β-ol(1), (22E, 24R)-ergosta-5, 7,22-triene-3β-ol(2), (22E,24R)-ergosta-7,22-diene-3β,5α,6β-triol(3), stigmasta-5,11-dien-3βol (4), stigmasta-3,6 -dione(5), sitoindoside I(6).
