Oral Digestive Lavage for the Treatment of Dysbiosis; a Case Report of Psyllium Husk Viscous-Gel Delivery and Oregano Oil in a Green Tea base.

Abstract

This case report highlights the use of an oral digestive lavage of natural antimicrobial oregano oil with viscous gelforming functional fiber psyllium husk in a green tea antioxidant base to resolve intestinal dysbiosis. We paired the digestive lavage with patient education to improve daily eating and lifestyle habits and obtained successful resolution of abdominal pains, distention, and constipation, additionally restored her ability to ingest fiber foods without discomfort and reestablished regular daily bowel movements.
