Abstract

Acne today still remains one of the most common diseases. The recommended treatments are not always possible due to side effects. When using antibiotics, there has been an increase in the number of antibiotic-resistant P. acnes strains over time. In recent years, preference has been given to the drugs that do not contain antibiotics. The compositions have been developed containing products of mineral and plant origin, which have shown good results in the treatment of mild and moderate acne. Attention is paid to the use of agents that increase the body's immunological status. It is hoped that this review will make a certain contribution to understanding of the need for further research in this field.
