Clinical Observation on 36 Cases of Sciatica Induced by Lumbar Disc Herniation Mainly Treated with Acupuncture in Two huán Acupoints Matching Lumbar jiā j Acupoints.

Abstract

Objective: To observe curative effect of acupuncture mainly in two huán acupoints matching lumbar jiāji acupoints treating sciatica induced by lumbar disc herniation. Methods: The study randomly divided 71 cases of patients according to inclusive criteria into the treatment group and a control group. The study adopted acupuncture in two huán acupoints matching lumbar jiāji acupoints as the main therapeutic method to treat 36 cases in the treatment group. Moreover, the study adopted routine acupuncture therapy to treat 35 cases in the control group. Results: Total effective rate of treatment group was 88.9%. Total effective rate of the control group was 77.1%. The treatment group was superior to the control group, and the difference was statistically significant (P < 0.05). Conclusion: The curative effect of acupuncture mainly in two huán acupoints matching lumbar jiāji acupoints treating sciatica induced by lumbar disc herniation is prominent.
