Abstract

In order to approach and rethink education from a common and equal learning perspective, a study was carried out that would allow an approach to the paradigms of thought of young people, which would lead to a subsequent co-educational intervention in educational centres. The research is based on a quantitative methodology, applying the School Doing Gender/Students Attitudes Scale to Coeducation (García, Rebollo, Buzón, González, Barragán & Ruiz, 2010) to a sample of 366 adolescents in the fourth year of compulsory secondary education in public schools in Seville (Spain). The data obtained were analyzed according to three main dimensions: sociocultural, relational and personal. The results provide significant data according to the gender variable, related to the distribution of responsibilities (family and domestic), social mandates, stereotypes, gender roles and relations, leadership, affectivity, gender violence, beliefs, expectations and gender identity.
