Abstract

It is an overview on aryl C-glycosides holding potential as antidiabetic agents. SGLT2 co-transporter has been identified as novel target to develop new class of antidiabetic drugs. Few of the aryl C-glycosides have been identified as selective inhibitors of this enzyme and also exhibit in vitro and in vivo antidiabetic activities. Herein we have summarized the recent developments in the area of aryl C- glycosides possessing antidiabetic activities and their SAR.
