Title: A Cost-Effective Solution for a Provisional After an Extraction in the Anterior Maxilla.

Abstract: A number of treatment options, ranging from Maryland bridges, to fixed partial dentures, to implants, are available for the replacement of a missing anterior tooth. Reinforcing composite resin with glass fibers significantly improves the material's mechanical properties. These types of restorations can offer a good alternative for the young patient who is still growing, or the adult patient who cannot have an immediate implant placed. This article presents the case of a patient who had a root fracture and no facial plate, thus prohibiting implant placement at the time of extraction.
