Determination of Rutin and Quercetin Content in Yantai Bupleurum by HPLC.

Abstract

[Objective] To determine the content of rutin and quercetin in the whole plant of Yantai Bupleurum by HPLC. [Methods] An Agilent C18 column (250 mm ×4.6 mm, 5 μm) was applied with a mobile phase of acetonitrile -0. 1% phosphoric acid solution, gradient elution was selected with the flow? rate of 1.0 mL/min, the UV detector was set at 360 nm. [Results] The average recovery rates of rutin and quercetin were 100.47% and 99.50%, the RSD were 1.34% and 0.41%. The average content of rutin and quercetin in the whole plant of Yantai Bupleurum reached 83. 00 and 102. 68 μg/g. [Conclusions] The method is fast, accurate and reliable. It is suitable for content determination of rutin and quercetin in the whole plant of Yantai Bupleurum.
