Loneliness is a phenomenon that every individual experience at least once in his life. In business life, some individuals may sometimes feel lonely, while others may always feel lonely. A concept associated with loneliness at work is organizational cynicism. As a simple definition organizational cynicism refers to an individual's disdain the organization in which he works. The individual who feels lonely at the workplace starts to break away from the organization and does not take the aims of the organization seriously. However, supervisor support is thought to have a diminishing effect on loneliness and cynicism. This study aims to explore the relationship between employee loneliness and organizational cynicism in the work life, and to explore the role of perceived executive support in this relationship. Within the scope of the research, data were collected through a survey from 150 employees working in a public institution. Cronbach Alpha reliability analysis, correlation and regression analyzes were performed to test the hypotheses of the study. According to the results of the analysis, it is determined that there is a positive relationship between the loneliness of the employees and the cynical attitudes towards the organization in the workplace. There is a negative correlation between perceived supervisor support and loneliness and cynicism in the workplace. Finally, it has been found that there is mediation effect of perceived supervisor support on the relationship between loneliness and employees' cynic attitudes towards the organization. According to this result, the sense of loneliness of the employee who does not perceive supervisor support less affects the cynic attitude towards the organization. Workplace loneliness is one of the subjects of relatively low interest in the literature. In this context, it is thought that the study will contribute to the literature.
