- Abstract
The article discusses a report on malnutrition which was released in 2014 by the British Association for Parenteral and Enteral Nutrition (BAPEN). The report, which surveyed nearly 35,000 hospital patients in Great Britain over a five-year period, found that 29% of patients had signs of malnutrition when they arrived at a hospital and reported that malnutrition affects three million people in Great Britain and that associated health costs exceed £13 billion.
