- Abstract
The article offers information on clinical trials to determine whether symptom-based adjustment of inhaled corticosteroid (ICS) is better than physician assessment-based adjustment for prevention of treatment failure in adult patients with asthma. These trials were conducted on 10 academic medical centers in the U.S. on 342 patients of mean age 35 years for an examination period of 36 weeks. Results of the trials showed that symptom based adjustments matches with physician group.
