Authors

Pathak, Akhilesh

Abstract

Introduction: Traumatic asphyxia is a rare but potentially life-threatening condition characterized by compression of the chest and upper abdomen, leading to respiratory distress and insufficient oxygen intake. This condition can result from various traumatic events, such as crush injuries, motor vehicle accidents, or other incidents causing intense and persistent pressure on the chest. The case is presented here to highlight traumatic asphyxia by exploring its causes, postmortem findings, and medicolegal significance.
