- Title
Hepatitis B Vaccination Reliability in Celiac Disease.
- Authors
Nejad, Mohammad Rostami; Rostami, Kamran; Zali, Mohammad Reza
- Abstract
The article focuses on the likely association of celiac disease (CD) with the unresponsiveness of HLA genotypes to the HBV vaccine. CD is described to be a common autoimmune disorder, which has a peculiarly strong relationship with the presence of HLA-DQ2 in 90-95% of the patients suffering from the disease. It references the article "Is there need to a new hepatitis b vaccine schedule in children with celiac disease?," by V. Ertekin et al. which appeared in a 2011 issue of the journal.
