- Abstract
The author discusses aspects on the role of pubovaginal slings (PVS) for the treatment of female stress urinary incontinence (SUI) in the period of mid-urethral slings (MUS) in the U.S. He states that SUI surgeries such as autologous rectus fascia pubovaginal sling (AF-PVS) played an important role in the treatment of female SUI. He`` mentions that the surgical outcomes of PVS showed an increase in patient satisfaction, likewise, overall rating of quality of life was 62% from four percent.
