Abstract

The commentary refers to the 7S's framework of D'Aveni and the original 7S's model of McKinsey & Company and focuses on the challenges of hypercompetition. Failure to address hypercompetition is often the result of organizational complexity, senior management's misunderstanding of what constitutes strategy, and political infighting or lack of leadership.
