- Abstract
The article discusses the role of ghrelin in pathophysiology of gastrointestinal disease. It outlines the impacts of ghrelin, peptides and its modulation as potential therapy for gastrointestinal diseases (GI). It mentions that the discovery of ghrelin has improved the scientific knowledge of interaction between GI tract and the brain including the GI activity, insulin release and cardiovascular activity. It also notes on several ghrelin disorders like gastritis and H. pylori infection.
