- Abstract
The article discusses a study on the role of triglyceride in the fat accumulation within the adipose tissue, fatty liver degeneration and atherosclerosis using postprandial hypertriglyceridemic PHT rabbits of various ages. Male 12-months old PHT rabbits, 33-months old PHT rabbits and 5 male Japanese white rabbits were used for blood lipid assays and pathophysiological examinations. It suggests that postprandial hypertriglyceridemia may be an important risk factor for promoting atherosclerosis.
