- Abstract
The article focuses on a study that examined aggressive behavior in coyotes with rabies in Massachusetts. Seven of the 97 nonrabid coyotes studied had reportedly been in contact with humans and domestic animals, compared to four out of the ten rabid coyotes that had been in contact with humans and domestic animals. An increased risk of transmission is possible based on factors that increase the likelihood that a rabid animal will have the opportunity to interact with humans or domestic animals.
