Abstract

The article discusses research which examined predictors of infant and young child feeding (IYCF) and nutrition knowledge among new mothers in primary health care centres in Basra City, Iraq. The study analyzed the association of age, income level, unemployment, education and receiving information from doctors or healthcare workers and social media or the Internet to knowledge about breastfeeding, formula feeding, complementary feeding, water supplements and food allergies.
