- Abstract
The article presents a case study of a 58 years old woman with scaly eruptions and anthralgia in her body. The skin lesions were treated with oral acitretin, methylprednisolone and sulfasalazine. After taking etanercept with methotrexate, clinical remission was achieved two months after therapy. It is concluded that the use of etanercept is an effective treatment for Pityriasis rubra pilaris (PRP) as it can induce long term remission.
