Abstract

The article offers information on the results of a study on β-cell function among severely obese patients with type 2 diabetes. It says that the intravenous glucose tolerance test was utilized to determine the impact of bariatric surgery on β-cell function in diabetic subjects. It mentions that the bariatric surgery can improve insulin sensitivity.
