Abstract

The specific characteristics faced by the public health system in Baja California Sur are presented, based on its demographics, epidemiological circumstances and geographical conditions. Based on this, the adaptation to these characteristics and the main public health challenges that the system has faced in the last two decades are described, trough strategies that have increased the universal health access and coverage based on stewardship and governance.
