Abstract

With the enhancement of womenz s consciousness of breast health in sports, higher recfuirements have been put forward for the comfort of sports bra* In order to study the effect of the bottom width on the pressure comfort of sports bras, in this study, sports bras with the same style, structure and material and the bottom width, of 3, 4 and 5 cm were used as the research sample* The pressure values of 8 sports bra measurement points in the bra during 6 stretching movements including arm forward lift, side lift, upper lift, breast expansion > side swing and front swing were measured in 14 subjects* At the same time, the subjective ratings of different measuring points and the overall pressure comfort of clothing were performed-The results show that the changes in sports bra pressure magnitude corresponding to the bottom width for the stretching movements correlated significantly with the subjective scores of different parts according to statistical tests. The average values of pressure measurement points corresponding to the 3 kinds of bottom widths is between 0-2 kPa., and from the overall perspective the waist pressure value is negatively correlated with the bottom width. The bottom width, change has the greatest impact on the waist pressure and the least impact on the chest pressure* In the subjective evaluation, the local pressure comfort scores of the three bras increases with the width of the bottom, and is more obvious at the shoulder and waist* The overall comfort score also increase with bottom width, which provides theoretical guidance for the design and development of sports bras in underwear enterprises.
