- Abstract
The article describes the case of a Korean woman who experienced oral stings by spermatophores of the squid Todarodes pacificus. She felt pain in her oral cavity after eating a portion of parboiled squid along with its internal organs. She went to the nearest emergency facility and the doctor removed many small squirming white bug-like organisms that were penetrating her oral mucosa. These organisms were identified as squid spermatophores.
