The article presents a reprint of the article "Septic Arthritis and Clostridium Septicum: A Clue to Colon Cancer," by Joe Dylewski and Leonard Luterman, which appeared at the website www.cmaj.ca. It offers information on clostridium septicum, a skin and soft tissue infection associated with hematologic malignant growths and aortitis. Furthermore, it discusses the case of an 88-year-old woman with clostridium septicum who took a series of intravenous medications which involve penicillin.
