Title

Gestational surrogacy in the Far East: an overview of its legal treatment in Vietnam.

Authors

Linh Chi Dang; Simon, Jürgen Walter

Abstract

Legalization of altruistic gestational surrogacy not only gives infertile couples a chance to have their own child and prevent illegal acts of commercial surrogacy, but it also makes a positive impact to the national population structure by securing a stable total fertility rate. In general, the current legal framework on surrogacy is comprehensive and adaptable into to Vietnam's fine customs and traditions. However, there is still room for improvement.
