- Title
Mst1-FoxO Signaling Protects Naïve T Lymphocytes from Cellular Oxidative Stress in Mice.
- Abstract
The article offers information on a study conducted on mammalian Sterile 20-like protein kinase 1, (Mst1)-FoxO signaling, which protects Naïve T Lymphocytes from cellular oxidative stress in mice. It states that lymphoid tissues from Mst1 mice displayed a paucity of T and B cells in the spleen and reduced number of T cells in lymph nodes. It mentions that Mst1 promotes growth factor deprivation-induced apoptosis and cellular oxidative stress in neurons. It presents that phosphorylation of FoxO1 on serine 212 by Mst1 regulates neuronal cell death under conditions of growth-factor deprivation.
