- Title
Detection of Sub-Clinical CWD Infection in Conventional Test-Negative Deer Long after Oral Exposure to Urine and Feces from CWD+ Deer.
- Abstract
The article focuses on the observation of the sub-clinical chronic wasting disease (CWD) infection in test-negative deer after the oral exposure to urine and feces. It mentions that infectious prions in saliva and blood have been discovered through cervid bioassay and CWD detection methods. It mentions that the detection of CWD focuses on Protein Misfolding Cyclic Amplification (PMCA) related to cervid transgenic mouse bioassay. It states that neural (obex) and lymphoreticular (LRS) tissues have been analyzed for the CWD prion protein. It mentions that neural transport can be related to anterograde ascension through myenteric and LRS sympathetic and parasympathetic neural networks
