- Title
Genome-Scale Identification Method Applied to Find Cryptic Aminoglycoside Resistance Genes in Pseudomonas aeruginosa.
- Abstract
The article presents a study related to the application of a genome-scale identification method, to find cryptic aminoglycoside resistance genes in pseudomonas aeruginosa. The method is called Scalar Analysis of Library Enrichments (SCALEs). A significant number of genomic regions were identified in the study, which increased resistance to multiple aminoglycosides. It is stated that the bacteria's ability to evolve rapid resistance to antibiotics is a significant public health issue. The background, results, and conclusions, of the study, are discussed in detail.
