Abstract
The Court of Protection is the specialist court that makes decisions in relation to people who lack decision-making capacity. In this article, Richard Griffith considers the powers of the Court of Protection and discusses when it might be necessary for a district nurse to seek an order from the court in relation to the care or treatment of a patient.
