- Title
MiniCD4 protein resistance mutations affect binding to the HIV-1 gp120 CD4 binding site and decrease entry efficiency.
- Abstract
The article presents a study which investigates the evolution of the human immunodeficiency virus type 1 (HIV-1) under miniCD4 pressure for a better understanding of the miniCD4-virus interaction. The study reports the resistance induction of subtype B HIV-1 against miniCD4 proteins. It mentions that the entry process of the HIV-1 into host cells targets the development of preventive microbicides and vaccines.
