- Title
Bone marrow stromal cell antigen 2 (BST-2) restricts mouse mammary tumor virus (MMTV) replication in vivo.
- Abstract
The article offers information on a research that analyzes the role of bone marrow stromal cell antigen 2 (BST-2) in controlling the activity of the beta-retrovirus, mouse mammary tumor virus (MMTV) in vivo. It is mentioned that BST-2 helps in restricting the infection of human immunodeficiency virus (HIV-1) by preventing the invasion of HIV-1 from the surface of infected cells. Also, it is observed that in vivo, BST-2 exhibits antiviral properties and restricts the release of MMTV.
