- Abstract
The article presents the findings of a clinical trial conducted on examining the efficacy of exhaled carbon (CO)monoxide measurement in smoking cessation in primary health care. It discusses the methodology of the research. It concludes that CO-oximetry is an inexpensive, non-invasive, and fast technique that require little technical training and which can assess risk in smokers and can be easily applied in primary care.
