Perceived crime and traffic safety is related to physical activity among adults in Nigeria.
- Abstract
The article cites a research study that analyzes the relationship between perceived neighborhood safety and physical activity among Nigerian adults. Neighborhood safety is said to be related to physical activity. The study measured walking, perceived crime and traffic safety in 219 Nigerian adults. It was found that sufficient accelerometer-based physical activity (MVPA) was related to more perception of safety from traffic to walk.
