Abstract
The article focuses on the cross sectional study which assess several facts related to adoption and use of social media. It includes, the extent to which state public health departments (SHDs) are using social media, which social media applications are used most often and how often social media is used interactively to engage audiences. It concludes that social media use by public health agencies is in the early adoption stage and is limited.
