- Title
Selected sociodemographic factors and related differences in patterns of alcohol use among university students in Slovakia.
- Abstract
The article focuses on a study, which discusses alcohol consumption and drinking patterns associated with specific sociodemographic variables among university students in Slovakia. It found that 60.5 percent of male students drank once a week or more often and a similar pattern was found in female students. It also revealed that alcohol-related health and social problems increased as the frequency of alcohol intake increased. Parents played a role in protecting students from the problem.
