- Title
Efficacy of a behavioral self-help treatment with or without therapist guidance for co-morbid and primary insomnia -a randomized controlled trial.
- Abstract
The article focuses on a randomized controlled trial to determine the efficacy of a cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT)-based self-help treatment with or without therapist guidance for primary insomnia or with co-morbid problems. In the study, a sample of 133 media-recruited adults with insomnia were block-randomized, and assessments were made before and after treatment. The study showed the effectiveness of self-help, especially therapist-supported, as treatment for insomnia in individuals.
