Efficacy of exposure versus cognitive therapy in anxiety disorders: systematic review and meta-analysis.
- Abstract
The article presents a study that compares the relative efficacy of Cognitive Therapy (CT) versus exposure (E) for various anxiety disorders. The study used the most clinically relevant outcome measures and estimated the summary relative efficacy. The study concluded that no evidence of differential efficacy was found between cognitive therapy and exposure in Panic Disorder (PD), Post Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
