Title
The complete genome sequence of the acarbose producer Actinoplanes sp. SE50/110.
Abstract
The article offers information on the complete genome sequence of the plant species Actinoplanes sp. SE50/110, an acarbose producer. This plant is known as the wild type producer of the alpha-glucosidase inhibitor acarbose, a drug used for treating type-2 diabetes mellitus. The complete genome sequence of Actinoplanes sp. SE50/110 is stated to mark an important step towards the genetic optimization of the acarbose production.
