Abstract

The author discusses the impacts of reshaping and censoring the online network of eating-disorder websites named ana and mia community. He focuses on the announcement of online social networking services, Tumblr and Pinterest regarding their decision to ban inspire viewers to be thin. He further highlights that the website provides tips on starving and also act as tools for self-help and empowerment.
