Abstract
Ventriculoperitoneal shunts have one of the highest complication rates of all neurosurgical procedures. The purpose of this study was to identify factors associated with malfunction of shunts placed in infants with neonatal hydrocephalus, with the goal of maximizing long-term shunt survival.
