- Title
Stranger danger puts chiLdren off walking.
- Abstract
The article reports on the results of a study on the impact of perceived stranger danger on walking levels in primary school children in Birmingham, England published in the "Archives Diseases of Childhood." Researchers found that perceived stranger danger and lack of green spaces put off children from walking more. Two thirds of children and three quarters of parents expressed concern on stranger danger. It concludes that local environment perceptions are related to walking levels in children.
