Title

The sound subsoil management in surface coal mining in terms of the Kansk-Achinsk coal basin.

Authors

Oparin, V.; Cheskidov, V.; Bobyl'sky, A.; Reznik, A.

Abstract

Considering characteristics of geological and mining conditions at the Kansk-Achinsk brown coal basin, the authors prove the necessity for non-standard geotechnology application. A new predrainage-free geotechnology application has been described for watered flat coal strata, which ensures complete utilization of mineral reserves and mined-out areas as well as improves environmental safety. It is recommended to selectively extract hard dirt inclusions, if present, by hydraulic mining scheme. The article discusses feasible after-mining utilization of the disturbed lands.
